    Milwaukee Tool expands operations into Georgina with new Service Hub at Keswick Business Park

    Georgina, ON – The Town of Georgina is pleased to welcome Milwaukee Tool, a global leader in professional cordless power tools, accessories and hand tools, as the newest major tenant in the Keswick Business Park. Milwaukee Tool will use a space of 54,000 square feet to operate a major Service Hub, strengthening Georgina’s position as a growing hub for logistics, manufacturing and service operations in northern York Region.

    Town brings back holiday parking exemption

    The holidays are a time to gather and celebrate with friends and family, and the Town is implementing a temporary holiday on-street parking exemption so residents and visitors don’t have to move their vehicles, except when winter operations are underway. The holiday parking exemption will be in effect from noon Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, to end of day Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. Municipal Enforcement will not ticket vehicles parked for more than three consecutive hours and between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

    Town of Georgina collects five more MarCom awards

    The Town of Georgina is proudly celebrating a creative milestone after earning five MarCom Awards. The Town received its second platinum award in three years and was recognized for a number of initiatives including crisis communications, special events, website creation and a winter operations campaign.

    Georgina Council adopts 2026 budget

    Georgina Council has adopted the 2026 budget, which includes a 2.25 per cent increase for operating expenditures and 1.25 per cent increase for an infrastructure levy for a total tax levy increase of 3.5 per cent. The infrastructure levy contribution is essential to address the funding shortfalls identified in the Asset Management Plan.

    Winter weather is making it challenging to get around Town today. 

    Everyone is reminded to check the disruption notices on the Town website before heading out in case programs or activities at facilities have been cancelled due to weather.

    Winter weather is here and Georgina is ready

    Winter weather has shown up early this year and the Town of Georgina is ready. Did you know the Town is responsible for approximately 333 kilometres of roads, 140 kilometres of sidewalks and multi-use paths, and 25 municipal parking lots? A combination of Town-owned trucks and contracted services provide snowplowing and salting services to Town roads and sidewalks through a primary and secondary route system.
